My Path to Becoming an OBGYN & Why I Chose This Specialty

Hey there, in this video I share a little bit about me, where I'm from, why I decided to go to medical school, and how I decided to pursue a career as an OBGYN! Becoming an OBGYN was NOT part of the original plan, but I couldn't be happier that the plans changed :)

I never planned to go into healthcare. I completed a BA in communication studies and it wasn't until my third year of undergrad that I decided to become a doctor. I eventually attended a Caribbean medical school and along the way I decided I wanted to become an OBGYN doctor. I loved labor and delivery, surgery, and women's health and although the idea of starting an OBGYN residency was incredibly intimidating, I decided to go for it!
