Entering into your OBGYN rotation/clerkship can be overwhelming, especially when people utilize acronyms and abbreviations almost exclusively. Chart checking and writing your rounding notes can be extra challenging on this service because every note tends to be cluttered with jumbled letters that don't make any sense! Of all the specialties in medicine, I think that OBGYN (and ortho) use acronyms the MOST, and when you're just starting out, it can be very confusing.
